The story follows John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg), a simple, ordinary Boston local who has a rather extraordinary friend named Ted, who just happens to be a living, breathing, teddy bear. Left out as a kid, a young John Bennett wishes for his teddy bear to come to life and guess what? His wish comes true. John & Ted (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) grow up together and remain friends well into their adult years. Problems begin to arise when Ted & his negative influence puts John’s relationship with his one true love, Lori (Mila Kunis), in jeopardy.
